Concrete Pool
A concrete pool is a solid structure built into an excavated hole in the ground. Supported by a web, or frame, of steel, the concrete is sprayed on creating the solid pool shell. A concrete pool offers flexibility of design allowing for different block sizes and they’re incredibly strong and durable and because they can be finished in a variety of surfaces, they’re very appealing to look at.
5QS was engaged to provide geotechnical & structural engineering services on a four-level architecturally designed dwelling located on the foreshore of Lake Macquarie; which incorporated a reinforced concrete & masonry frame; and a reinforced concrete swimming pool suspended above the boat shed roof.
